A “completely devastated” Kim Kardashian has told friends she’s “living through the worst nightmare of my life” amid Kanye West’s very public meltdown.

The rapper, 43, is claiming he needs “protection” from his wife and mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, and is currently “holed up” at a “secure bunker” on his $21 million Wyoming ranch, surrounded by “a small group of people he trusts”, according to The Sun.

“He doesn’t trust Kim or her family,” the source told the publication, adding that he’s also now changed all his social media passwords “to lock everyone out” and is “very paranoid” – even though his family is “only trying to help him”.

West – who has been open about his bipolar disorder – went on a lengthy Twitter rampage yesterday, during which he accused Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, of trying to “lock him up” and compared his life to horror movie Get Out, in which an African-American man is tormented by his white girlfriend’s family.

He deleted almost all of the tweets about Kardashian and Jenner within an hour of posting them.

The flurry of tweets came just a day after West held his first US Presidential rally and cried on stage as he revealed intimate details about his life with Kardashian, including that they had deliberated over whether to abort their daughter, North.

“(Kim) had the pills in her hand,” an emotional West told the crowd on Sunday.

“My girlfriend called me screaming, crying. I’m a rapper. And she said, ‘I’m pregnant.’ She was crying.”

He added: “I almost killed my daughter.”

The bombshell detail about their daughter, now 7, reportedly left Kardashian “furious” and feeling “betrayed”.

“She’s furious about how this will affect their kids, and feels incredibly sad for North,” a source told The Sun.

“For Kanye to bring that up, to say it in public without giving her the chance to add context or explain what was going on, is such a betrayal for her.

“She’s also terrified for Kanye and his safety. Normally Kanye is so private that he won’t let the reality show cameras film in their house and has a long list of rules around filming their children, so for him to say something so private so publicly, something is very wrong.

“Originally Kim was happy that Kanye chose to go to Wyoming as he’s always calmer when he’s there. Now she’s regretting it.”

The couple own two neighbouring ranches and 485 hectares of land, which they renamed West Lake Ranch earlier this year.

Another source told Entertainment Tonight that Kardashian is “completely devastated” and has been trying to get West help for his bipolar disorder – but he’s refused.

“Kim has always been public about everything in her life, but with Kanye and him being bipolar she has always respected to keep that more private and within the family,” the source said.

“Kanye tweeting about the family and painting her as trying to ‘lock him up’ has upset Kim because that wasn’t her intention and she only ever wants the best for her husband.”

It comes amid claims the Kardashian family believe West “crossed a line” by airing private family matters.

“She has tried so hard to help him, but now Kim and her family feel as though he’s really crossed a line by talking negatively about them so publicly and sharing private family matters with the public,” the insider told US Weekly.

“(Kim) feels helpless at this point.”

‘REALLY BAD’ SITUATION

According to Page Six, the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan is rallying behind West, but there are growing fears his marriage won’t survive this latest episode.

A source told the publication that the situation is “really bad”, and that they “don’t know if (Kim and Kanye) can survive it”.

Despite the family’s embarrassment over his accusatory tweets, the insider added: “Everyone has such compassion for him right now.

“Anger is not a motivation,” said the source.

“The family is trying to work out what to do and hoping that this nightmare will be over soon and they can get Kanye into treatment.”

According to the source, when West is in good health, he’s “super lovely and connected” but during an episode, “it’s terrible”.

“The sad thing is that when he recovers, he realises what he’s done and he apologises,” they said.

BIPOLAR DISORDER

West has previously confirmed in interviews that he has bipolar disorder.

In 2018, the cover of his Ye album featured the line: “I hate being bipolar. It’s awesome.”

He later said in an interview: “I had never been diagnosed until I was 39. But like I said on the album, it’s not a disability, it’s a superpower.”

Speaking to Vogue in 2019, Kardashian spoke about her husband’s struggles and said he wasn’t on medication.

“For him, being on medication is not really an option, because it just changes who he is,” she said at the time.

Kardashian said in the same interview: “I think some of the hurtful things that I read online, ‘What is she doing? She’s not stopping him …’ Like it’s my fault if he does or says something that they don’t agree with?

“That’s my husband,” she said. “I share every opinion that I have and let him know when I think something’s wrong. Or if it comes to him being in the middle of a bipolar episode, I’ll do everything to be supportive and help to calm the situation.”

In an interview with David Letterman, West once explained what it was like to go through an “episode”.

“When you’re in this state, you’re hyper-paranoid about everything,” he said.

“Everyone – this is my experience, other people have different experiences – everyone now is an actor. Everything’s a conspiracy. You feel the government is putting chips in your head. You feel you’re being recorded. You feel all these things,” he said. “You pretty much don’t trust anyone.”

WHITE HOUSE BID

There was widespread confusion last week after conflicting reports surfaced over whether or not West still intended to run in the November US presidential election.

On Thursday, just a day after it was widely reported he’d called off his bid to become the next US president, TMZ revealed that he’d filed Form 1 – the Statement of Organisation – that says the Kanye 2020 committee will act as the “Principal Campaign Committee”.

The form lists his party as “The Birthday Party”, the banner he said he’d run under in his bid for president.

However, TMZ noted that he had yet to file Form 2 – Statement of Candidacy – that confirms that he’s raised or spent more than $5000 in campaign activities, which triggers his candidacy status under federal campaign laws.

The surprising development comes a day after a report in New York Magazine’s Intelligencer, in which a member of the rapper’s campaign team, Steve Kramer, confirmed “he’s out” of the 2020 race.

While Kramer didn’t specify West’s reasons for allegedly withdrawing, he said he’d “let (Intelligencer) know what I know once I get all our stuff cancelled”.

Earlier this month, West made headlines around the world after announcing his surprise bid for the White House in a tweet.

“We must now realise the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States! #2020 VISION,” he wrote.

This pledge of allegiance is worth kneeling for.

Seemingly in a lost scene somewhere from the cutting room floor during the post-production of “Get Out,” Kanye West tweeted out his support for a new book written by none other than Candace Owens and purportedly about helping Black people leave the so-called “Democrat plantation” — an effort that has already backfired miserably.

“THANK YOU CANDACE OWENS,” the independent presidential candidate simply tweeted Thursday night accompanied by a photo from the book’s apparent cover.

It was at once both the confirmation that Kanye is still a firm fixture within the sunken place, as well as an apparent indication that he and Owens are on good terms. After all, it wasn’t too long ago that she — a renowned con artist — was forced to publicly apologize to Kanye for using his name without his permission to spread her futile message of “Blexit,” the so-called “Black exit from the Democratic Party” that is also a slogan she stole from a Black banking movement.

Owens in 2018 credited Kanye with designing her “Blexit” merchandise before lying in her disingenuous apology and saying that she never lied.

“If I had to imagine what it would feel like to have a bullet pierce my heart, it would be exactly like the moment I learned Kanye told the world he felt I had used him,” her fake apology began. “I never once said that Kanye designed the t-shirts for BLEXIT…I would like to publicly apologize to him for any undue stress or pain the effort to correct that rumor has caused him, his business relationships, or his family. He simply never designed them.”

Nevermind the fact that it was only days earlier when she told Page Six, “Blexit is a renaissance and I am blessed to say that this logo, these colors, were created by my dear friend and fellow superhero Kanye West.”

Speaking of Blexit, to say that it has been unsuccessful would be too kind a term. In its approximately two years of sunken existence, there are arguably more Black Democrats than ever along with a “blue wave” of Black Democratic candidates being elected to major State and national public offices.

In fact, Black voters were supporting Joe Biden in record numbers heading into the Democratic National Convention, according to a CBS News poll. Ninety percent of Black voters identified themselves as being pro-Biden versus 6 percent of Black voters supporting Trump, the poll’s results showed. CBS News reporter Bo Erickson tweeted Sunday that the 90 percent figure “is higher than the 72% percent of Black voters backing Hillary Clinton heading into her nominating convention in 2016.”

Considering that Owens told Fox News in 2018 that “Blexit is the black exit from the Democratic Party,” it would seem that her so-called movement has failed miserably, to put it mildly.

Still, she’s trying to squeeze the last drop of her relevance out of the whole Blexit thing with her book about “how Black America can make its second escape from the Democrat plantation,” with those last two words being a variation of a term Black conservatives — who have increasingly begin to denounce Owens — have embraced in recent years.

It’s also a term that the Washington Post once described as “shallow and ahistorical” and one that “distorts the current state of the relationship between Democrats and African American voters, and deprives the latter of agency, in part because of a failure to adequately understand the historical comparison that this rhetoric purports to make.”

Which, of course, makes it only right that Candace Owens — like she did with Blexit — would incorrectly co-opt it, too.
